I have always been interested in art, crafts and design.  For years, friends and family have sought out my opinion and ideas about decorating and design for their homes.  I have both a B.A. in Communications from the University of Utah and a Certificate of Interior Design from Salt Lake Community College. 

I began my design career working at a wallpaper showroom where I learned everything there is to know about wall coverings.  While working there I gained practical knowledge about the window covering industry as well, from mini-blinds to custom drapery and beyond.  The next step in my career was working for a major retail furniture showroom where I gained hands-on experience with fabrics, furniture construction, accessorizing, color selection, furniture arrangement, custom drapery and bedding.  After the birth of my daughter, I worked part-time teaching Introduction to Interior Design classes at the local community colleges where I lived, one in Salt Lake City, Utah and the other in Bellevue, Washington. I have had my own design business for many years and have mainly consulted through referrals from friends and family.  After taking several years off to raise children, I am looking forward to getting back to what I love to do.  

I have enjoyed all of my interior design experiences and look forward to sharing my ideas with you and helping you to create a beautiful and functional space to call home.  By following a few simple elements and principles of design we can create a look that is uniquely you!
